Default NeTeller Update - 01 29 07

I just got approved for a NeTeller ATM card instantly on-line and then called the number for the US - 888-258-5859 poked 2 for Customer Support, got an IMMEDIATE answer by a pleasant sounding CSR who after verifying my acct questions, immediately cancelled my pending EFT. The monies are back in my Neteller acct and I guess now I'll wait for the card to come in the mail or for them to post that EFTs are working again. Total time <= 5 minutes

He also stated that they currently cannot process EFTs with American banks. I believe this answer since I have been waiting a week for mine on what should be a 1-2 day process if their processor is batch-run. Thus, I hope my ATM card comes soon.

Anyone had any very recent issues with their debit cards from NeTeller?

A rep told me over the phone that this might change in a week or two.

Yup, and everyone might get their EFT's in a week or two.

Their reps have said a lot of stuff that hasn't happened. I'll believe that the cards will work when I see it... until then, it's just another thing their reps are making up as they go.

The cards still do work, you just can't load more money onto them. However whatever you already have on them is able to be cashed out at the rate of $1200 per 24 hours.

The debit card is presently worthless. Hopefully, that will change in the future.

I posted this in another thread but it also is an "up to date" trip report

I called the 888-258-5859 and I got connected almost immediately. After verifying my account info he said I had to talk to a VIP rep.

He transfered me to someone else and they answered right away as well. I basically told them I had 2 pending EFT's each for 1,250 and told them I knew about the ACH brew haha, etc. I was basically wondering if and when they would ever get processed.

The lady said she could cancel them for me if I wanted to, but they would get processed eventually. She said they were going about getting a new processor set up for transfers but did not have a good time line.

I went ahead and had her cancel the pending EFT's (which she did and it showed up immediately on my balance online) and asked her how long a check would take. She said typically 6-8 weeks.

So that's that, I now have $7,600 sitting in Neteller that I would rather have sitting in my bank...

This was earlier today (1/29/07, around 7:00 pm EST)

I looked around their website later and the 6-8 weeks for a check is quoted there also (if you start the process of trying to get a check)

not sure if the lady I was talking to was just giving the default "check" speach or not.
