Default AC Poker Room Rates

Has anybody stayed at the Taj or Tropicana using the poker rates? How much was it? I'm going to be there on a Sunday and Monday night in March.

I've stayed at Tropicana during the week on the poker rate, and I think it was $59 (plus taxes and stuff).

It's been a while but the Trop had rates like 59-99-129 (plus tax) for weekdays, Friday, and Saturday, respectively. You have to get a poker room card and play first before you can get the poker rate. To get the rate, you need to sit for a minimum time during the poker "day" - I believe it's four hours, and you may get a deeper discount on the room if you average more hours, like six or eight per day. Best to call a week or two in advance, as some weekends the rooms for the poker rate are full up if you wait 'til you show up.

Taj was $65/night for me this past week, although taxes made it come out to significantly more.

Compare this to their regular rate. I don't think it's that different, so it's something to research.

Thanks for the info guys. I booked a room at the Taj for March 4 and 5 (Sun/Mon) at $65 per night. Regular rate is $89. 4 hours of play per day is required.

So the Taj doesn't require play at high limits to qualify for the poker rate as has been mentioned?
