Default Dealer\'s Salary?

How much does the average dealer make in Vegas and LA? Im sure a big part of there income is due to what limit they are dealing considering tips etc. What are your thoughts?

It's a reasonable question. I wouldn't see any reason for no one to answer.

As a general rule I don't make public posts about my private financial details. Now when a person asks me in private for a legitimate reason (they are considering dealing or they are a dealer considering moving to my casino) I am generally willing to provide information privately.

I took the original question as general. I would have no problem, for example, telling someone that firmware engineer salaries start at about $45k out of college, and ramp up to about $150k for a principle engineer. All of that in Colorado. I wouldn't, however, reveal where I fell in that range (and it's irrelevant anyways now that I have my own firm). I think it's that range info he wants.

Well in that case, 10k - 60k would be the range. But honestly, getting an "exact" answer is near impossible as every dealer makes different amount of money. It depends on many variables such as shift, # of hours, tournaments, amout of games, the house, players, SKILL, ect..

Note: These are very vague numbers and actuals may vary. They assume full time(ie 40 hours per week). Like others have pointed out, there are a huge number of overall factors.

Vegas small room: $15-25K

Big room(ie Venetian, Wynn): $25-50K

Los Angeles..anywhere but Commerce:$30-50K

Commerce: $40-80K

Dealers at canterbury working full time make 50k-75k a year mostly cause you can deal out a lot since there is no nlh in minnesota every thing is limit which makes for alot of hands played to the river and limit is a faster game.

I have always wondered how much the drink girls make my guess would be $300-$500 a night in tips not bad for not having to strip.
