Default Another Set Decision.

villain is unknown, he has only played 2 orbits. 10/20 NL. i have about 24K villain covers.

utg limps, villain in mid position limps, sb folds, i see the flop with 33.

flop 3 7 8 rainbow.

i lead for $50, utg calls, villain makes it $170. i make it $550, utg folds, villain calls.

turn 8 (4 different suits).

i lead for $2000 villain makes it $5000, i call.

river Q.

i lead for $6000, he pushes. me?

what would you do here?

how would you have played the entire hand?

i would really like to fold the turn, this is probably 77788 or 88877 90% of the time... but its damn hard to fold a set/boat.

im sure you are a winning and thinking player, and im not trying to sound like dick, but maybe you should not be playing so deep.

anyhow, live deep hands are always appreciated, so i encourage you to post more often.

good question, i figured i would get him to define his hand with that bet.

the call was dumb. i either push or fold right there.

I think the call is def. better than a push.

Well, his hand looks pretty defined at that point. I have to fold the turn here, but would probably have led anywhere from 3/4 to the pot and found out the same info.

I'm assuming this was live, am I in error? The only possible hands that I think you're ahead on are A8s or 99 and I don't think either is very likely at all. Did you have any read on the villian at all within the two orbits?

I certainly wouldn't bet the river without a plan for a reraise. Kinda hard to give advice as I've never played in a superdeep live game, I have no basis for knowning how most unknowns play. That said, I think you can fold turn.
