I just made bacon in the oven for the first time, but they came out waaaaay to crispy. What temp and how long is optimal? I cooked them at 385 for about 40 mins.

I do it at 550. I cook the strips for 7-8 minutes, flip them, and then cook for another 7-8 minutes.

[/ QUOTE ] When I tried this (per your recommendation in the last "bacon in the oven" thread), it simply charred the edges and set off my smoke alarm. Next I followed the instructions on the bacon packaging (think it was 400 for 11 minutes), and it turned out perfect. YMMV. |

try this: cook rice. cook thin slices of bacon for a minute, eat with seaseme oil.
