$10 NL -- AA Was my line correct or weak?
First orbit at table so no reads, although previous hand was AQs and the table folded to my 4XBB + 1 raise.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) CO ($10.60) Button ($9.15) SB ($3.35) BB ($11.80) UTG ($8.70) UTG+1 ($2.75) MP1 ($10) Hero ($9.25) MP3 ($9.15) Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG calls $0.10, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $0.5</font>, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, BB calls $0.40, UTG folds. With flop 3-bet, I worried whether I might not be up against two pair or even set. Wasn't confident enough to push but saw definite straight and flush possibilities for villain. Decided to call 3-bet and see turn. Was this avoiding the tendency to lose my head over tp or just plain weak? Flop: ($1.15) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">BB bets $0.5</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1.6</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $2.7</font>, Hero calls $1.10. Doubt this turn card helped villain but aiming for pot control here with call. Turn: ($6.55) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">BB bets $2.1</font>, Hero calls $2.10. River completed flush. Didn't want to risk reraise so I again called. River: ($10.75) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> BB checks, Hero checks. Final Pot: $10.75 Suggestions please, or does this seem about right? |

Re: $10 NL -- AA Was my line correct or weak?
In most of the games I play I frequently fold to the flop bet3bet. Depending on how often you think he will go nuts with one pair, you can continue accordingly.

Re: $10 NL -- AA Was my line correct or weak?
BB seems to really like his hand and doesn't seem scared of AA.
Smells like 2-pair or better on this one. I think I look for a fold on the turn. |

Looks fine to me - Don't see how you fold the turn getting 4:1
Note how villian plays the lead weak, 3-bet thing |

I relinquished control at at the flop and only played along because I perceived he left me the odds to do so. When he mucked (AK[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]) I felt more relief than satisfaction in having played well. |

Re: $10 NL -- AA Was my line correct or weak?
Fold flop 3-bet; he has two pair or set (a flush rarely). Not sure why he does not bet river though; strange c/r attempt? Without reads, I cannot see you likely being good here from turn on.
P.S. He had AK? Just shows what a fish I am; yeah, AK could be in his range if he is the TPTK=nuts type. And explains the river check. |

9T hearts are pretty good looking in his range given his action.
