Default Paper checks (Uh oh)

Dear Mr. xxxxx,

Thank you for contacting Bodog Customer Service. We do understand where
the confusion is stemming from in
this case. Both of the answers we provided to you were correct, however
they are referring to different
types of checks.

Paper checks, which you are asking about specifically, are not being
honored by the banks when they are
cashed. This is something beyond our control, and as such we have
stopped issuing paper checks.

Electronic checks are where we are having problems with our check
processors. This is a technical issue on
our side that we are working on, and is unrelated to the paper check
issue that you were asking about
specifically. We do apologize for the mix up.

Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to
contact us.

Best Regards,
Customer Service

I don't get it. Are just Bodog paper checks not being cashed? Or all gambling related paper checks? I have not heard anything about checks being denied when trying to cash them. Anybody care to elaborate?

Pulled this from a private forum, still looking for follow up info.

Will post more unless somebody beats me to it.

this needs to be verified or deleted.

I find it hard to believe the banks have implemented something like this BEFORE the regulations they are suppose to abide by have been announced.

Most of the credit-card companies decided to prohibit such transactions long before the legislation was even enacted.

I think that some banks were doing some of this kind of stuff on their own before the legislation as well.

E-mail BoDog, they'll tell you the same. My question is whether they have been getting away w/ cutting checks on their own this whole time, or if they did in fact have a third party doing it.

The phone number obv got cut off while copying n pasting. And the "p0ker" is likely do to a nsfw filter of the private forum OP stated he got the info from.

Listen, you can speculate all you want, or you can e-mail BoDog and get confirmation for yourself like I did. This is unfortunately very true.

Now for the third time- can anyone confirm that BoDog has *not* been using a third party to cut checks all this time??
