hi,
I am just looking for some general advise on what I should know before moving to 27s on stars. I have mostly been playing 11s and 22s on party with a ROI of about 20% over ~1500 games. After party shuts down, I moved to stars and played some 6.5s and 16s. I have set a goal of getting a ROI of >20% after 500 games. I thought if I can do that, I can definitely move up to 27s to see if I can beat that. Here are my stats for the 16s after 510 games (played for about a month, started 4-table and 6-table, but mostly 8-tabling). # of games: 510 ROI: 24.2% ITM: 39.6% Avg: 4.38 Bbl%: 81.1% $Won: $1979 Finishes: 1st: 18.8 2nd: 11.6 3rd: 9.2 4th: 9.2 5th: 14.9 6th: 13.1 7th: 11.4 8th: 7.6 9th: 4.1 I usually gamble quite a bit when I have 12bb or less, that's why I have a high number of finishes between 5th-7th. But if I survive until there is only 4 or 5 players left, I usually have the big stack and can start bullying the table with the big stack, so my 1st finish is pretty high, and that's not just for this 500 games, over the previous 1500 games on party and maybe 1500 games on pacific, my finishing distribution has been very similar to this, somewhat low ITM rate, but with 1st place finishes around 19%. Anyway, do you guys think there is anything I need to know/change when I am playing the 27s or is it pretty much the same as 16s. Any inputs are great appreciated, thank you very much! Jason |

guess everyone's busy making money, it's -EV to give advise anyway. Senrats, just in case you want to know, I just played 31 games today at 27s (ran really cold at the start, then insanely hot), still seems to be quite beatable, the bad players are still very bad, but there are a lot more multi-tablers, it's lucky if I only have 2 other multi-tabler on my table, and players are more aggressive, more likely to get reraised.

I don't believe anywhere near >20% roi is sustainable in those games, too many regulars.
Maybe try looking at other sites as a way forward? |

I found that I make more $/hr playing the $16s as opposed to the $27s.
I think the biggest difference between the 2 is the bubble play FWIW. There is a mix of bubble strategies at the $27s, some of the multi-tabling regulars believe in gambling for first on the bubble as opposed making the money and playing their stack. gl |
