Synergetic RAM......?
I have a Dell laptop that came with 2 x 512 MB RAM. I'd like to bump that to 2 x 1 GB. But from what I've read here on these forums the two memories work together and stuff. And that seems to be important.
If I get two 1 GB memories called "1024MB SODIMM DDR2 200pin PC5300, 667MHz", is that good? Or are there other types that work better together? Thanks! |

Re: Synergetic RAM......?
Dell has an upgrade center on their site, input your model and they'll tell you what you need. There are probably only 2 RAM slots in their laptops so you'll need to buy 2 new 1GB chips since they require matched pairs.

Re: Synergetic RAM......?
What I was asking was if those 2 x 1 GB RAMs will work well, or if there is some better kind.
Also, how much faster will my RAM become when I get "1 GB + 1 GB" compared to "1 GB + 512 MB"? Will it get more than 33% faster/bigger? |
