Re: Turned set gets checkraised on river
yuck.
I wish i knew villain better, but i think a fold here is alright. he probably doesnt expect you to fold. on the other hand, its a pretty good spot for a c/r bluff... |

Re: Turned set gets checkraised on river
Eww..
With the very passive action of this hand I can't understand why he would check his made straight on the river. Then his large raise of 4x your bet is a bit fishy as well. There's no way he can put you on a huge hand here exlusively so it doesn't look like a value raise to me. This river is very good for him to bluff, and to be honest with you this to me looks like it could be a spur of the moment desperation bluff. Hard to say since it's very opponent dependant but I think you're often ahead here 50% of the time against an average aggressive player. A fold is ok though, but you can without a doubt make a reasoning for calling this. |

Re: Turned set gets checkraised on river
anyone else think this is a flop bet? Are you that scared of a check raise?
I probably bet the pot on the turn. I call the river. This is sometimes AK. |

No, were not scared of a c/r because it's an easy fold, and it's not like we have many outs to draw to a free car with. I instacall river. [EDIT: LOL, free car!] |
