Have you ever convinced someone to do something, which was -EV to you, because you felt bad?

For ex: convinced a bad player to stop playing against you in poker

Is this "if" or "if and only if"? If he doesn't just mean moneywise this is a pretty loaded question.

Scenario:

A guy claims that he can make you flip heads at least 60% of the time for every 10 coin flips and he uses this as verification that he has some personal connection to God. At anytime he allows you to use another coin from anywhere. How many successful trials would need to happen in a row for you to believe that he is more likely to be telling the truth than not.
