Default (1/2) KK on coordinated flop

Hi,

I thought this hand was a little tricky due to the fact
that the opener raised PF and called a big bet and also
the all [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] flop.

What does everyone think of my line of play here?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Preflop: No one ever folds to a min raise preflop, gotta make it $24-32 to go preflop, any hand you want to call you isn't going anywhere.

Bet pot on flop. Shove on turn.

If he would have had a naked As he would have only had to call one pot sized bet on the flop to get there and you each have pretty big stacks. Keep extracting on the turn and he ends up having the perfect hand to pay you off. Check/calling down after flop on this board is really weak and normally not a good thing with KK

But why do I have to go broke with this hand?
Is it so unreasonable that opponent has a flush here?

Why canīt the hand be played slower?

Everyone seems to want to play this hand very fast and
very aggressively. I don't quite understand why.

On the turn I have $201. So you are suggesting I bet
$201 into an $89 pot?

Why do you like to make such a massive overbet?
Why should I give away my entire stack to a made flush?

Suerte,
Jonathan

If you raise more preflop (and thus make a larger PSB on the flop) pushing the turn wouldn't be an overbet. And that's the line you should take with such a strong hand.

Yes, he might have the made flush. But he also could have any number of hands that call you down, and which you are crushing, or at least ahead of. Like QQ with a spade, or A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Jx. And if he has a set, you arent in terrible shape anyhow, since you've got the flush outs.

Ok... I can see that I could have reraised more preflop, which would have affected the flop and turn play.

Thanks for all your responses and input.

Jonathan
