215 42o hand
on bodog
players seem a lot tighter than normal for these games, pretty passive for the most part. first hand of 100/200 stacks: hero (bb):940 sb: 1845 bu: 700 co: 2100 co+1: 1360 utg+1: 1995 utg: 1060 hero is dealt 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] utg limps, co+1 limps, sb limps, hero checks. like i mentioned these limps are not at all standard for this game, 50/100 level was almost all raise/fold hands and a few walks. flop is 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. sb checks, 800 in the pot, 740 in hero's stack. check or shove? |

Re: 215 42o hand
UTG limping is scary, I think shoving would be correct with 1 player only after you, you will get called by one of the 2.
Checking will bring you nowere also... I check/fold. |

Re: 215 42o hand
Seems like a pretty easy shove. If called, you're getting 2-1 which is fine, but I think they fold more often than you think which makes it a clear push.

Re: 215 42o hand
Why if there is an overpair would fold to you?
If you have a 5 you would not go all in. Going all in screams: please fold!!! so what would you represent if not a draw? |

Re: 215 42o hand
Hero is in bb, nice spot to bluff out some tighties with this low flop. If called, still has outs to draw out. And pot is equal to hero stack, so why not to try

Re: 215 42o hand
BEcause there is not much to bluff here!!!!
Again, what do you want to represent going all in? If I hold 77 why would I fold here? |
