I have talked to IronDragon, who has been tied up, and I'm taking over the DVD Club.

I'll assume all the previous members still stand. Anyone else wants to joy, sign up here.

Membership means you get a chance to recommend 5 movies to discuss, which is voted on by everyone else, and the winner is the selected film. It is discussed 2 weeks later.


Signing up also means you're expected to watch and discuss everyone else's film. You can miss one or two, but the more we all put in, the more we all get out.

Non-members can also join the discussion.


I'll pick all the members, and select one randomly later to give their 5 choices.

The two at the bottom had La Dolce Vita and Spartacus respectively, and won't go back in the pool for selections till all the other members have had a go.


To keep the club dynamic at the outset of 2007, I ask the first few selections try and stick to movies < 2.5 hours, and be VERY easy to get ahold of.


Okay, my random number generator came up with 7, so it is Mrs. Utah to select 5 in which we can vote.

One other note - I see this club and this thread here to also be for casual discussion on any DVDs you've seen and anything you wish to say about them (good or bad).

But I urge you to start a specific thread if you have a lot to say or it's a review or anything along those lines. If you have only a little to say, in here is great.
