4/8 limit, everyday almost from what i remember, there is also a 10/20 that used to run mondays, not sure about now

from my time in it about 2 years ago, it was the biggest rockfest ever and 20/40 and 30/60 games in vegas were much better (at Bellagio) so i then switched to playing HE at canterbury as the 15/30 was juicy

I tried that game twice this past fall. So many bad things about it. (I do like PLO High, though. But we'll never see that in Minn).

First, it's limit. Second, it's Hi-Lo. Third, same players and same jokes all the time. Such as: "Hey Harold, how many times of you rebought? Not as many times as you Jerry." Highlarity.

The Canterbury Omaha table is like a poker nursing home.

And guys who have played longer than we've been alive don't know most of the time who has the winning hand. Every hand is an adventure.

The only logical reason to play is you can make a rack of yellow last all day while waiting for table share on a quad over quad jackpot hand. Or you could stay at work and make the same money...

Hey Guys,
How is the 7 card stud and 7 hi-lo?
I've never tried these and was wondering if the same tight nits play in these games as well.
Any info is appreciated.

i don't think the game goes that much at all any more. i may go during the day though, and i think it is usually populated with nits.

i agree with bob on the nits - that game was populated with nits, i never understood how anyone could win except the rake - its the only game i tried to play for weeks and failed at so bad that i just gave up and switched to a different game - i have never been in a 4/8 game that was that tough and nitty on a consistent basis

i would suggest getting into limit holdem if your going to be in minneapolis for a long time - or drive over to turtle lake in wisconsin, they had some good 1-2 and 2-5 nl games a couple years back - damn, i wanna move back north right now to play some up there again

I plan on going to Canterbury for the first time on Friday evening, is there any random information I should know before going? I plan on playing 2/4 HE or Stud, maybe 3/6 if I run good at 2/4 to start.
