If for some reason u were only allowed to listen to one musical artist/band for the rest of your life...who would you choose? No side projects, just the original artist/band and all of their stuff. Assume u would be able to get everything this artist ever put out, including bootleg live recordings.
My choice would be The Grateful Dead. Anyone else have a pick? |

Chingy. [/ QUOTE ] ahahhaahaha everytime I try to leave... Hm this is ridicuously hard, so having an enormous catalogue is pretty key. Beatles Elvis Costello (must be non-Attractions inclusive) Miles Davis Stevie Wonder Kanye West if he had like 10 more albums. -Al |

I'm familiar with pretty much all of Zeppelin's stuff and some of their live stuff, so at first they were my answer. But if I could listen to more Van Morrison before I got to pick, I'm pretty sure I would have to go with him.

[/ QUOTE ] Van Morrison is one of the few artists that was played during my college days (early seventies) that I still play quite often. My favorite is Moondance, probably the "stickiest"* album (later the CD) I've ever owned. Check out the linked reviews. Tupelo Honey and Astral Weeks are also up there. ~ Rick * By sticky I mean music that stays on your turntable, CD player or playlist for years and years and never seems dated or stale. |

Funkadelic, but it's close.
Dylan if you had asked for a solo artist. (also I predict that you will get mocked for your selection, although as you know I like the GD). |
