Luxor 1/2 NL - Average Stack Sizes?
I believe Luxor still has a $50 minimum buy-in for the 1/2 NL game.
What's the average stack sizes in a game with everyone push-botting all the time? What times of the day/week are prime for joining the all-in fest? Friend of mine is heading out after the new year and wants to play "cheap". Go easy on him guys... |

We got $500 stacks on what seemed like a particularly donkish night. Expect a hassle to get a breakfast comp, and you can't straddle, no matter how many times you ask.

Re: Luxor 1/2 NL - Average Stack Sizes?
It is $50 MAXIMUM, not minimum. When you dip below $50, you can buy an additional $50, so it is really a $100 max.
Once the game ie established, it is usually around the $200-$300 range, but that obviously varies greatly. |

The floor people usually hint at the fact that once you dip below $50 you can re-buy another $50 and that by tipping the dealer you would technically fall below $50 and could rebuy.

Re: Luxor 1/2 NL - Average Stack Sizes?
This is without any doubt, the WORST room in town, if not anywhwere. I would never play there again, even if they gave me comps for life.
They rake a bonus, yet it is so poorly redistributed it's ridiculous, disgusting, bordering on unethical. Other rooms have close to $3,000 avg bonus for a royal, where at the Luxor it's a couple hundred? $1000 max bonus for a bad beat? I asked the dealer about it, and he said they do lots of promotions and freerolls and crap--if you put in a lot of hours. "It's really good for local players," he said. Bonuses aren't good for any good player, regardless of where they live. There are no auto-shufflers. The floor put 11 people at the table and said, oh well. It's loud. I put in my one time there, got my Luxor chip, and will not return. Abysmal rooom. |

[/ QUOTE ] Did you play the evening of 12/20-21? I was there when that happened! I actually grinded out a $42 profit (3 BB/hr) with table sizes varying wildly between 6 and 11. A ton of bad players that kept rebuying for 50 over and over. I actually liked the format as it favored solid play. Next time I'm going to a higher buy-in NL game, though. |

No, I was there Friday night. This room has no redeeming value whatsoever. There are 20 better.
