Default I PLAY HOLDEM

again, thanks to the FullTilt mixed (HA) games. Thank you FullTilt!

Haven't posted a hand in awhile, here's one of two:

Keep in mind this is PLHE, not NLHE. Villain in this hand has been pretty agressive and overvalues his hands a bit, but not a total spewmonkey. He got most of that stack before I sat down, but added $100 to it with a big PLO draw. Also keep in mind that pot is big enough on the flop after his bet for me to push.

I agree this is a fold preflop but folding the flop isn't an option.

It's still table stakes, though, right?

Well, your stack is only $92, so he could have a $1mm stack and it'd still be a fold preflop.

As far as his range goes, it's a bit wider than that. He could be RRing lightish with a lot of small to mid PPs, maybe even a SC if he's really aggro/tricky/whatever. Still, you're behind/coinflip with most of his range, and you have a hand that even if the flop's good (e.g. here) you still might be crushed.

jbird,

I fold this preflop as KQ is about the worst possible hand to have against a 3-better OOP's range. ( I believe Kill Phil had a good chapter on this and it came up in NLTAP on calling allin bets.) Since the flop hit, I'm all for potting it here as there are numerous heavy draws that must be forced to pay. The Q9s opens up both flush draws and straight draws. If the board were drier, I might just call behind the maniacs lead here and hope he does it again.
