Default After spending time with ZeeJustin...

I was in Las Vegas for the Five-Diamond main event and to do a feature story on Justin Bonnomo (ZeeJustin) for Bluff Magazine.

After spending some time with him and thorladen, who also sat down with us, I was extremely impressed with how he carried himself altogether.

He spoke candidly about his past and the decisions he has been heavily criticized for. He took time during breaks in the Final 10 to talk to me about how he was playing, etc.

Most poker players I have met show very little dignity and maturity in the face of the mistakes they have made, and it was refreshing to spend time with someone who, at such a young age has faced an incredible amount of criticism, yet handled it like an adult, accepting blame while speaking about it with maturity and candor.

Not to mention he took all this time right after bubbling the main event.

gg sir!

He didn't necessarily do it here. But it would be pointless now; nobody would believe he is sincere. So you're not going to get anything that's going to satisfy you on this front.

This story was really more about his recent success than his past. I think if I was not being objective, I would have avoided the subject altogether.

I merely posted this because he is somewhat of a figure in this forum and after meeting him, I thought he was a stand-up guy. Obviously I don't know him well enough to say for sure, but I never claimed to.

I think questioning my objectivity from the original post alone is preemptive considering it was just a small blurb about my perception of his character from meeting him one time.

I guess I should have slanted him some way in the original post to appease NVG.

My apologies there!

He wasn't worried because he had two other accounts still going in the tourney. Don't worry, he handicapped himself by having the interview with you.
