Default Ask me about your phone bill (landline service)

I've worked for the phone company (Pacific Bell, SBC, now called AT&T)for the past 6 years as a customer service rep and have pretty much seen everything there is to see on a bill....ask away........

Other then 911 is there any reason not to switch to VOIP? What % or customers have VOIP?

My dept. does the orders for customers who are bringing their services back to AT&T from another company. The OVERWHELMING majority of our customers are coming from VOIP (Vonage to be exact)
The 911 argument is the main one I use when customers talk to me about VOIP. All in all, VOIP is GOING TO BE a great product once all the bugs are worked out of it. Truth of the matter, it's just not ready yet, but when it is, landline service is gonna be hurting.
There are few customers out there who are very happy with their VOIP service, but, I dont think they represent the majority.
I hear tons of stuff about customers not getting any dial tone as promised, calls having 2 and 3 second delays in them, echo's when they're talking to someone else....

another thing is the ability to get everything all one one bill. Customers are loving that more and more these days. a 'one stop shop', if u will. VOIP doesn't offer that. Cable does, but its WAY more expensive

What is the post-consumer recycled content of the envelopes the bills are mailed in?

What's the worst thing you've ever been called by a customer over the phone?
