Just put him all in after he minraises you on the flop. I'm never folding this against a shortstack.

folding an overpair to the board for 40BB in a raised pot HU would require a strong read |

I think the only reason you posted this was because you lost the hand, but you know the play was fundamentally correct. After his minraise, put him in rather than make it $8.
Post hands where you're unsure of your play, not where you lost. |
