Default BOTS on Absolute poker

1st post here, long time 2+2er forum reader. Playing at Absolute Poker, 6 handed small stakes limit, and ran into this guy, who showed me how to detect bots playing there. I was kind of freaked out at how many where playing at Absolute. He told me about 15 names of bots there. So i tried his trick. The trick is , if there are 3 or less people at a table , the bot will lock up for 30 seconds, then go away.

I told people at the table too sit out (this being a full 6 max table ) because there were 2 bots there. Sure enough , both locked up and then left. i don't know if others know about this, i couldn't find it anywhere in the forum.

But anyways, the bot threads are kind of freaking me out.
Can't imagine it being good for the game at all. Any thoughts would be great thanks.

Maybe they just didn't want to play heads up possibly. Thanks for the heads up though.

Sure.
These names range from the .10/.20 too the .50/1.00 limit games. I have not dectected any in the 3/6 limit or higher games yet.

**tested = they locked up for 30 seconds when people sat out

swagdogg
skully8
katie85 - tested
melc8 - tested
matt4hire - tested
ln8268
lawflukeit - tested
hamil8
tommyg
pearty - tested

the non tested ones are the names i got from the one guy who showed me how to detect them.

I got the rest of the names on another piece of paper, i am looking for it now, will post them when i find them.

Its not uncommon for some players to bail when table numbers reach a certain point.Having said that,it doesnt hurt to keep an eye out for sure.Ive been playing alot of 1/2 there, was curious if i might recognize some of your suspects, but dont so far on your first short list.

So I decided to check up on the names listed here.

I found Katie85, melc8, lawflukeit, and hamil8 all 4 tabling the .10/.20 6 max tables. They play a tight, very aggressive game, didn't respond to chat, and could only be found at tables with 5 or 6 players. Plus, I saw Raiseurace and cat cool fitting the same description.

Unfortunately for them there aren't many others for them to play against so they are taking each other's money. In fact, right now the average plrs/flop in the .10/.20 games is lower than the 10/20 games.

I couldn't do the 3 handed-disconnect test because there are more than 3 suspected bots at all the active tables. Either way, it seems very odd that the .10/.20 games would be loaded with 4-tabling TAGs.

This is disturbing. I've only played 1,800 hands at 10c/20c 6max in the last week. I can't believe I have 1,200 with them.

My stats on them are:

swagdogg - 25/18/2.09; +30.9 BB/100; 97 hands
skully8 - (none)
katie85 - tested - 29/18/4.7; 0 BB/100; 87 hands
melc8 - tested - 21/19/2.5; -10.1 BB/100; 84 hands
matt4hire - tested - 29/22/5.6; -12.1 BB/100; 97 hands
ln8268 - (none)
lawflukeit - tested - 21/17/3.5; +14.1 BB/100; 281 hands
hamil8 - 26/22/1.9; +0.9 BB/100; 111 hands
tommyg - 27/22/4.0; +16.8 BB/100; 268 hands
pearty - tested - 31/23/2.3; +26.8 BB/100; 198 hands

Average: 26.1/20.1/3.3; +12.1 BB/100; 1,223 hands

I suspect they time out because they don't know how many players are in the hands until after the cards are dealt.

Please explain what you mean by the term "lock up"?
