Why does the bike require the dealer to ask permission to scramble?
Why does the dealer have to ask this. If button ask for scramble, the dealer must call out to the floor.
I asked this one time and my answer was that the camera wants to know why the cards are bieng shuffled. Well.. I won't give the obvious answer to THAT one. But I did a ton of thinking on this and my varigant mind cannot think of any real reason why this is mandatory. Clearly, there is a cheat-prevention thing going on, but what, exaclty? |

Re: Why does the bike require the dealer to ask permission to scramble?
Because casinos put into place retarded procedures with no logic behind it whatsoever.

pretty sure it's just to inhibit people from asking, in order to speed up the game.

[/ QUOTE ] These are the reasons behind a different rule at the Bike: you may only ask for a scramble when you are on the button. Why the dealer needs to ask the floorperson before scrambling remains a mystery. Edit: I suppose the entire table could cooperate and ask for a scramble after every hand, and then the floor should be notified. But such cooperation is so unlikely that I don't think a "get permission from the floor" rule is necessary. |

Re: Why does the bike require the dealer to ask permission to scramble
Lame.
Those DeckMate autoshufflers aren't super bitchin' in randomizing - and often dealers will not scramble new setups - note that flops from a new setup that has not been scrambled but only run through the deckmate once will seem oddly coordinated. AB |
