Default it\'s been a while... trips, no kicker

Hi guys,

I haven't played many SNGs lately, been playing primarily 1/2 6max for the past couple months. However, I had the urge to play a few games tonight.

Villian in this hand is blue lipton. No real read, although it's clear he's a regular from the fact that I have some hands in my DB on him and he's at a few of my tables tonight. Not much else to go on at this point.

Thoughts on the flop and the turn?

I would just shove here and expect to take the pot down or be ahead if he calls.

After rereading this hand this appears to be the case against a solid player at the given buyin.

This is my thought. I'm not sure I could get away from it in the heat of the moment, but it really looks like A3 and not much else.

Good to see a post by the Wuwei master!

Tough spot as it's all the rage nowadays to limp monsters early.

That said, you only have to worry about QQ or TT.

So, if villain is actually limping, it's probably AA, KK that you are facing.

Most likely AK, AQ or AT is in the hand here so you are good.... until the river.

Shove and make a note........ Not happy about it, but that's my play most times.

Happy Floppidays to you and the family! Slacka

What about K3? I hate the checkraise, and while we normally are prepared to 3bet, it sucks to do so against the SB CR. This is tough to fold w/o a read, and it's even tougher to do so "in game." There's nothing drawy about this board too.

I think most here think to jam. many could go either way. some may fold.

Edit: Are people really limping in the SB with QQ?!?

Do you think that K3 would re-raise here? Not likely, thus my original range.

Weird hand regardless, I'm glad Wuwei posted it.

Also, Blue Lipton plays pretty loose, and would complete w/ a ton of hands in the SB, which is why it's easy to put him on a 3.

Slacka,

He completed in the SB so he could easily have 3x. I think you are swapping the PF and flop action.

Anyway calling is better then shoving and folding is prob better then calling.
