Default 99 facing large bet

$40+4 live fast structure level 2.
Level 1 was starting stack 1500 at 25/50

No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t50/t100
8 players

Stack sizes:
SB: 1000
BB: 1500
UTG: 3000
UTG+1: 1800
Hero: t1450
MP1: 1400
MP2: 2000
Button: 2000

Hero has 99 - thoughts on each of these scenarios...

HAND 1
Pre-flop: UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to 300, MP1 folds, MP2 rasies 800, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds, Hero ?

HAND 2
Pre-flop: UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises all-in

HAND 3
Pre-flop: UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to 300, MP1 folds, MP2 rasies all-in, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds, Hero ?

Not any read apart from villain has entered a few pots with QT type hands usually for a limp.
With hand 1, this is a big raise, if I call, and then overcards come (likely!) I've probably lost half my stack and the implied odds are not good.

U can't call for half your stack, WTF. Decide what his range is and either push or fold. In a fast structure you're going to need some chips - just decide whether or not this is the spot to try and get some. Online I'd push this without a second thought, live - I'm not so sure.

So you'd proceed as in Hand 2?
Why would you not push this live?

No, Hand 2 is completely awful.

so this is a pick your spot position

in 1 & 3, you've put in 20% of your stack and get reraised essentially all in. so the key is what range do you put this guy on - if this guy was decent, i'd say it would have to be tt+, ak, aq and maybe 10% one of the other hands. with that range and factoring in the other hands you're about a 60% dog here - so you'd essentiall be putting in 1200 to win 3150 or in other words you'd have to win 38% of the time to make this profitable based on pot odds.

Based on the structure, you're read on this guy and your current position i call/push and hope you're flipping

Unless you have seen MP2 reraising with stupid hands:
1 I fold
2 I will never do that with 14BB
3 I fold

What about raising something like 200 to 250, then fold to a reraise. Raising less in early or middle position can be as effective as raising 3BB or more, and you are less pot-commited in the pot.

The 4th hand I guess is:

HAND 4
Pre-flop: UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero limps, MP1 limps, MP2 rasies 800, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds, Hero ?

I think the range here is more like TT+ and AK, AQ
I think the range for hands 1-3 is more like TT+ and AK. I think he would just flat call with AQ.

Would you raise 88 here as well or only 99+ ?

Wow, you really suck at this. Sorry man, but that's the harsh truth.

Pushing all day is cool all around.

800 looks like an AK hand don't you think?
So, wouldn't you hope for the flip here?
It could of course just some nutter getting overactive with a QQ-AA type hand.
