Default Is this \"running bad,\" or something to be expected?

All of my play is live (never liked playing on-line).

Over the last 3 weeks, I have been stacked no less than FIVE times in set-over-set situations. Also, there have been more than the usual numbers of times where my opponent has hit a 2 or 3-outer at either the turn or the river (also costing me lots of money).

The good news is I keep getting sets or better.... the bad news is I continue to lose with pretty good hands. Do any live players run into extended streaks where winning almost seems to be an impossibility?

Thanks for the replies.

Default Take a hard look at your play.

what you describe is easily within the normal fluctuations that will occur. however, when many players go on a bad streak, it is more often about a slight change in their play. therefore, take a hard look at your play, maybe ask someone else in your game who you respect about your play. set over set, opponents hitting 2 or 3 outers will happen over short periods, just make certain that those are the ONLY reason your are currently losing.

Everyone has rollercoaster streaks. You've got to ride them when it's high and slow down when it's low.

Also, for one, this tells me you're getting pot committed or you can't lay a big hand down.
For two, your not betting enough when they suck out on you. This is NL poker and money is power. You must not have enough to move your oponents. Raise without getting pot committed.
