Default Flopped nut straight, turn brings a flush *puke*

This is literelly my first hand at the table so no reads. I also have no stats on villain at all...

Effective stacks 200$ (villain was sitting on a 2.5 BI stack)

Preflop (Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img])
Villain limps OTB
Sb Completes
I raise to 10$
Villain calls and sb folds

Flop

Hero leads for 12
Villain flatcalls the bet

Turn

The flop bet was 15$, which means my turn bet should've been bigger...


Edit; I think I need to move down again, perhaps I ain't ready for 200nl yet...

bet/fold river is better than c/c unless theres a lot of history

Sorry, but there is NOTHING wrong with folding this hand. With no reads, and a rather weak betting plan while out of position, I don't think you necisarily hurt yourself by folding here. Just because a bunch of 2+2er's say "instacall" doesn't mean this guy wasn't holding Ax suited and hit his flush.

Don't move down because you folded a hand........Learn to play to your strengths and weaknessess. If you know you are too fearful of calling flushy board raises, then bet more on a turn like this to price the flushies out........

Change your style, not your game. Good fold...........
