How often do you 4-bet him?

In general? Not often, I played pretty standard against him in raised pots.
With AK? Almost always. |

I check-fold this flop.
[ QUOTE ] i'd check/call river [/ QUOTE ] Why in the world would you check-call this river, in a big pot, against a solid TAG who plays well in big pots? He's never VBing QQ. |

That's a fugly flop, it might be best just to let it go. Dont really like the weak bet on such a drawy board either, he might convince himself to shove AQ/AK/99

[/ QUOTE ] now that i look at it again, i think you're right. check/fold river is probably best. i hate bet-fold river though. i was thinking we could pick off a bluff from something like 66 or whatever, but the problem is that pretty much everything villain can have is good enough to just showdown, and he's not going to vbet anything worse except maybe KQ. |

gambler just must feel gild is very strong after his preflop 4-bet
i think checkfold is an option, as gambler shouldnt be calling alot with that 4-bet that didnt hit that flop pretty good by the river the only conceivable hand AK beats is QQ and its not betting the river.. i think you can check/fold it. |
