Play Money Games - \'Experts\' Required
I am trying to write an article on Play Money games. I need some insider knowledge on the 'high limit' play money players. The guys that spend hours building up their virtual stacks or even buy play money on Ebay. If you have any insights as to who these players are and what motivates them then please reply on this thread.

I'm not sure of your definition of 'expert' or whether 18 million at UB is a large enough free table bankroll but I do play at the highest UB tables (1000/2000 NL). For me, the free tables are a way to learn the game without risking any money. The motivation is the same, I assume, as in cash games: to win as much as you can and continue to grow as a player.

Don't get too excited. The auctions I've seen, poker stars play chips were selling for around £20 per million [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img].

I can tell you what motivates them. It is a complete detachment from reality and a lack of attention from the opposite sex.
These are not the type of people that you want to have any kind of contact with, in any way.
