Starting to get very bothered....graph included

I didn't put this in BBV because this is a question directed at the microforums. I have recently been on this horrid downswing and I am curious as to if this downswing even looks remotely close to normal. It is getting to the point every hand I play is getting counterfitted by the river if not beat by someones miracle 2 outer. How do most of your downswings usually run at the lower limits? is -200BB as common as it looks? I have played for a while and had many downswings but this one just seems to get worse and worse.

That's all? I thought it would have been more. I've had a 300BB+ at 0.5/1 short handed over ~100,000 hands.

I had close to 300 BB downswing ~ 150 at 3/6 and then ~ 150 immediately when I stepped down to 2/4

I actually cashed out and started back at .25/.50, quit 4-6 tabling and found a few leaks.

1) Play fewer tables
2) Think before acting
3) determine your tilt factor
4) Respond to posts more here
5) Post a hand a day here

To the two replies saying theirs were -300....those were over 100K hands and such...mine is -200 over 6.5K hands is why I was so concerned.

I had one 300 BB downswing in ~100,000 hands is what I meant. I don't know about the actual duration, but it was probably over about 5K hands. I've had a couple 200BB in that time as well. 100BB swings are nothing. I laugh at them now.

I'm a winning player with a respectable winrate over 50k hands.

I've dropped 200BB in 2.2k hands and 150BB in 1500 hands before. I've also won 170BB in 800 hands.

I'm in the process of my 2nd 150bb+ downswing in the last 20k hands. I can tell you...it aint just variance. Bad play magnifies downswings.

Well said that's why I think really reviewing sessions during a downswing is important. Downswings always add at least a little tilt and at least for me a little bit of tilt can magnify my leaks making them easier to find.

Also remember the great thing about a downswing is that if you are truly a profitable player when you are on a downswing that just means you are due for a shot of the good side of variance soon. And speaking as a guy currently coming out of a downswing with one heck of a rush, damn is the good side of variance fun.
