Default Tipped the dealer, he says nothing...

Beat: In this post I talked about a live SNG. After we chopped, the other guy gave the dealer $25 so I did too. The dealer thanked him, but not me.

Brag: I'm not tipping anyone at Canterbury because of that. If they can't teach their dealers how to say "thank you", then screw them.

Variance: Won't be any going forward...Some dealers understand cstomer service, some don't. I'm not gambling on which ones do or don't.

I'm a believer in customer service and I'm not a balla. Maybe I'm being a A-H about this, but customers are always right...

I have no idea. I wish they'd go back there though.

The customer is always right motto is way overplayed. Think about it. No, the customer isn't ALWAYS right. I also play at Canterbury quite frequently when I feel like playing live, and I have heard a "thank you" 95% of the time. I think you should just stiff the dealers that don't appreciate your tip. It's not "Canterbury's fault." Canterbury doesn't make money on tips, you're not hurting them. If you dont want to support Canterbury don't ever go there again. Posts like this anger me...

Kicking, screaming, spitting and yelling at a cashier or worker anywhere isn't right. The customer isn't always right. OMG, I [censored] hate this motto. My mom used to always tell me this when she'd bitch at anything in a store. Try and explain how it isn't right, "nope, you're wrong. The customer is always right". Sorry, 10 cents of rant there. I just had to do it.

The customer is usually wrong, but it's also usually correct long-term strategy to treat the customer as if they're right.

I think that's the point of the motto.

I completely understand, and agree. I just don't see anything in OPs thread where the business has ANYTHING to do with this matter. They probably did teach the dealers to say "thank you", but these are grown men and women. If they can't see that a "thank you" would be appreciated, then maybe they shouldn't get a tip next time. But calling it Canterbury's fault and blanketing all dealers is absurd.
