Okay the villain had basically dropped 2 buyins within the previous 7-8 hands and was playing 87/44. His bet in position i honestly feel he can have absolutely anything, even ace high at this point, I think he bets here 100% of the time, so I elect to call and re-ev turn. I realize i was probabaly wrong calling oop, because i know he'll fire turn and if I don't imrpove what do i do, however my most important question is based on the turn play. Was I incorrect in check raising here considering he was on major tilt and playing every pot literally?

If he's really that crazy, turn is fine... you caught one of the best cards for your hand... I would fold flop... You gonna call 3 barrels w/ a pair of jacks?... find a better spot.

this hand is silly
if he's tilting that bad you can find a better spot than some broke ass pair of Jacks (or kings with a J kicker on the turn) |

Flop call isn't great since there's not too many cards that are good for you in the deck. 7's, K's, or a Jack. And you know Villain will keep pulling the trigger.
Turn is fine if Villain is definitely tilting and will get it in with OESD plus pair or something. |

Yeah, I'd drop the flop but the turn is fine, I tend to dissagree with the philosophy of waiting for a strong hand against maniacs, mostly because I hate seing their stacks go to somone else, but your hand is a bit too weak, if any 'real' players were left to act then it would be really bad call, but as you closed the action I'd say it is only slightly bad.

A bunch of people said the flop was bad, which it is. If behind a bigger pair, you have 7 outs at best. If he has a straight or a decent straight draw you have no idea where your are at or whether improving your hand to two pair or trips will actually beat him. There are a lot of better spots than this.

[/ QUOTE ] nobody in this forum who has half a clue would ever tell you that your flop play is good in this hand...i always respond to posts before i read the whole thread it looks like everyone thinks flop is bad..i just dont understand the smooth clal on flop..what are you hoping to see there..there isnt a single card that makes your hand better...not even a K |
