We should, let's have this be the weekly thread, don't be afraid to post tomorrow's games if you see the lines first. With several other people on these threads any errors should soon be corrected, and sometimes which court is 'home court' can be tricky at these holiday events, etc.

Well that blows... I put it in around 8AM at -2 on Pinny. I guess these are better off to play a little before tipoff, rather than early?

Time to get suck out!

What if the home team was favored and is now a dog? Would you still bet?

From Naj's other post on this page

[ QUOTE ]
We started using the following mechanical system as an adjunct to our regular betting:
1) We bet home teams favored by less than 5 pts
2) No big 'rivalry' matchups, however.
3) We exclude matchups with both teams in the top 25.

Essentially, we feel that 'home court advantage' is under-rated by the general public.
However, in top 25 matchups where there is a lot of focus and also for rivalry games, i.e. Duke-UNC, LV-UK, Cinci-Xavier, people also focus on the value of home court advantage, so we toss those out also.
caveats:
When the visiting team was initially favored, but is now a Pick 'em, we do not bet.
When the home team was favored, and is now Even, we do bet - again, because we feel HC advantage is being undervalued.

Yes, I read that, but I didn't see a note for a home team being originally favored and now a dog. I'm assuming that's a no bet?
