Default Doyle\'s Room (Tribeca) Ends play for US players

For those of you US players that are playing at Doyle's or other Tribeca sites, they are no longer accepting US players.

Many of you have rakeback on this network, you should consider moving to a more US friendly network such as Full Tilt, Ultimate Bet, Absolute, etc.. There's a list of sites that still accept US players in the legislation forum.

but they likely will, since tribeca is not allowing usa players. golden palace will likely stop too. the EGamingReview magazine is not usually wrong on something like this. however, doyles' seems to be trying to buck the trend. check the legislation forum for more news.

tribeca has tried to do everything they could to allow usa players. the contributed rake was one of the things their lawyers said would be most likely to allow them to continue.

this may be temporary...until some sites have a chance to donate to some political campaigns.

We are hoping it is just a Tribeca announcment and Doyle's isn't effected by this, but that could be wishful thinking. I guess as always, stay tuned.

Hey RR...

The release that's been going around on this did not detail any specifics on when this would be taking effect, etc.

Do you have other info that you may have received as an affiliate that could shed some light on the difference between what has been released and your comments?

It's very odd, we're getting conflicting reports..

What we know for sure:
Doyle's room shut off and emailed players from 2 states
Tribeca is going to stop taking US players
Doyle's room is currently on Tribeca of course

What we dont know for sure:
How can Doyle's room stay status quo for US players if they remain on Tribeca?
What about the remaining states?

We have been in email contact with our affiliate manager who just now promptly said "We will have an announcement shortly"

What all this means? Who knows now.. Pamela Anderson poker is going under.. alot of turmoil on that network.

How are player funds handled on Tribeca?

There must be over a hundred skins on the network and many of them probably have only a few players. I never exactly understood how they all stayed in business to begin with; this apparent U.S. pullout must be devastating for many of them.

Are we looking at a bunch of potential defaults by these lesser-known skins?

Separate question: what is Doyle Brunson Poker Network? Is it something more than Doyles Room?

there are only about four cashiers in the tribeca group.so your money is handled by one of the three or four, not each of the 100's of skin owners. i think victor chandler is one, golden palace, platinum/doyles room and perhaps one more. the money is safe. they wouldn't risk their european market by defaulting on usa money.
