Playing an underpair against the blinds (general question)
I am very new to poker (< 2 months) and I have a general strategy question that bothers me since my second week. Then I read that it's recommended to raise on the button with small pocket pairs when it's folded up to you. I found no advice on how to proceed when the blinds refuse to fold and we don't flop a set, though. In case we raised with 22 we would look at 5 overcards by the river.
I found nothing about this with this site's search function. Can anybody here describe a general line of play for this situation? |

Re: Playing an underpair against the blinds (general question)
Too many variables, but start with thinking about your opponents and then the board texture. Against a loose passive calling station you won't go too wrong with bet/bet/check UI. Against a tightwad who calls your flop bet on a dry flop you'll want to give up on the turn.
