This was a $22 6-max tournament on Stars. 200 entrants and we were down to 23 at this point (18 paid), so average stack at this point was about 13-14k. Blinds were 150/300 and I was sitting on 19k. Villain had 37k, one of the chip leaders, seemed like a very solid, aggressive player especially for a med-low buyin online omaha tournament from the few hands I had seen him play. On to the hand in question:
Villain is on the button and opens for full pot of t1050. I am in the BB with Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and call (?) I felt he was opening a very large range, probably 50-60% of his hands from the button. I know it isn't a good idea to tangle with a good player OOP with deepish stacks, but folding feels too weak here. Anyway, my main question is what to do on the flop: Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (Pot: 2250) I check and villain pots almost instantly. What's my line? |

As played pre-flop, just pot the flop. If he pushes back it's a straightforward fold. If he calls, you'll be in a tough spot on the turn, but you expected that when you called with double-suited trash OOP. On the turn, I'd like an offsuit J > offsuit 2/7 > club > blank > spade > A/K.

He has AcQ4c5 here? I reckon that has you down to like 10% or something at worst here.

Well, now that I know my preflop mistake, the best line postflop would be to lead pot and fold to a large rereraise?
