Default Best Rappers

Post ur favorite!

IMO

1. Tupac
2. Biggie

pretty sad that their both dead.

basically the only others I like are not very well known random guys.

I am really disgusted by Jay-Z and Nas. Listening to their raps just really seems lame to me though I know alot of people swear by Jay -Z. I think Eminem is definitely one of the top living today just not quite on the top-top level.

Try this post, it was widely accepted that the OP was an idiot and that Rakim won.

Or this one, where Rakim still doesn't make the OPs list.

For the most part, I hate rap music. I'm not really sure why. It just seems so low-brow and stupid to me most of the time. Plus, I hate the way many people who like rap music tend to act. For instance, the sideways hats, pants around the knees, excessive jewelry, "grills," and all that other nonsense really pisses me off. This especially true when people do it seemingly just to fit in with something or be a rebel.

With that being said, there are a few rappers that I really like. Tupac is one. I also like almost everything I've heard from Outkast. Jay-Z is quite talented and I get a kick out of a lot of his lyrics. I think my favorite right now is Kanye West though. Great lyrics and his songs are quite different and very catchy. I'm not a big fan of him as a person since his asinine comments about George Bush, but I really like his music.

Acey's not that great he just gets great production which makes him sound good for stuff like his solo albums and his work in Haiku D'Etat.

I don't think these guys are the best rappers EVA (mostly cause I haven't listened to enough of rap overall) but my favorites have been TI, Chamillionaire, Lil Wayne, and Lil Scrappy, no particular order other then the mood I'm in that day.

has anyone heard the new Lupe Fiasco? I never thought I'd say this about another rap cd, but it's pure genious. It's among the most innovative cd's I've heard, and it's the best lyrically in a LONG time. I'd go as far as to say it's better lyrically then Be (Common) or Beautiful Struggle (Kweli). I'm actually excited about this and curious to hear when he drops his 2nd album. I thought true hip hop was on it's way out, but Kanye and Lupe are certainly showing some promise

I think "A Book of Human Language" and "All Balls Don't Bounce" are great albums in large part due to Acey's lyricism/rapping. Admittedly, I haven't heard all that much else by him, but based on these two outputs, I think he's one of the best (I can't think of two ablusm by any other rapper I think are better).
