Default KJs, turn

Its rather early in the tourney. We are in second hour and half the field is gone.
blinds: 200/400 ante 25

Hero(UTG): 4900
UTG+1: 8600
Button: 8000
BB: 2800

Hero is dealt K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and limps, UTG+1 limps, folds, Button limps, No small, BB checks.
pot:1000

flop: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

BB checks, Hero bets 1000, UTG+1 folds, button thinks calls, BB folds.
pot: 3000

Turn: J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Now what? I am out of position with TP+flush draw. Oh why did I limp here. If I was on the button I would check behind if given chance, and just call a bet if it was right. But I am not on the button and have given myself some problems.
I already messed up and bet too much on the flop, now I could be stuck.

Shove turn to simplify your decision.

I'm starting to stop playing KJ unless I'm in LP and no one has come into the pot yet. I'd fold this PF. Easy push on the turn.

PT's giving you that nasty flashing red with it in EP, eh?

Just get better at post-flop play, and you'll be able to handle a wider range from EP/MP. Yeah, yeah, easier said than done.

there was a type-0. The blinds were 100/200 not 200/400. With 200/400 blinds this is more likely a fold for me PF. ty

Pot is 2000 after preflop, not 1000. Your math is off.

With 2000 in the pot, just push the flop. Of course, push the turn.

Was this really 200/400/25 or 100/200/25? With 100/200/25, there is 1100 in the pot preflop.

I am not sure about the blind size and thus your stack size relative to the blinds, but open folding is probably betting than limping KJs UTG. The limp may be OK if you are limping big pairs and such.

Pushing preflop is bad. I like the limp a lot better.
