25-50 HU today. Effective stacks 25K. I raise button to 150 with red nines. Good aggressive opponent reraises to 450. I call. Flop A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. He leads for 600. I call. Turn is 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. He leads for 1600. I reraise to 4200. He reraises to 14000. He has about 10K left behind. Does anyone consider folding?

another question: given the stack depths, does anyone play this differently earlier in the hand? (just calling the turn lead and just calling a potential river bet for instance)?

[/ QUOTE ] no way dude. you got the 2nd nuts. if he has AA so be you are allowed and fully expected to lose 500bbs. 1,000bbs and maybe you'll have to rethink it sklanksy style but I think your goal from the flop on is to get as much money in asap before the board gets scarier (flushy/straighty) |

well its HU and hes just as likely to have 88 here, maybe even 33. He might have A9 but he would probably go into check call mode with your turn raise with that hand and it seems less likely that he would reraise that pre.
