This is an icky spot. However, Villain does not have a set, or doesn't have it often. He's clearly aggressive. He is not calling the flop raise and check/calling the turn with a set on a board with two flush draws and straight possibilities. This is especially true when Hero puts almost 1/2 his remaining stack in on the turn.

He also loses to any set that filled up on the river. He's screwed but he's gotta call.

This spot kinda sucks.
I would bet more on the turn, probably overbet the pot. If the board pairs, or a flush hits, I don't want to have to make a decision like this. You also price in QQ+ and make your river decision much easier. If he is calling that $215 bet, why not go a bit more and really price him in. The last thing you want is to leave him with enough money to bluff you off the pot. The river is a call, I think (especially since he is an aggressive player), without a better read. Once the pot gets this large, I think the chances that he takes advantage of a scare card greatly increases. But I still think he has QQ a lot. |
