The end is nigh
Well, looks like my regular playing site has dried up.
For the past few days I have seen a lot of sound raises and good play from my opponents. Not a whole lot of donkage. Its sad to see noone limping UTG with J7o anymore even in the micro-limit games. I guess I'll try transfering to some other sites but I'm not hopeful. |

Time for the guys who were borderline pros, sticking around and getting beat. It just takes longer to crack them is all.

[/ QUOTE ] As one of the borderline pros who is sticking around and getting beat, that hurts. God I miss the days when the Party 15/30 limit games were a license to print money. It seems that I was pretty good at extracting money from idiots, but there are a lot of people now who play as well as I do or better. |

Re: The end is nigh
Yeah I never played in those games. But from observation those games played like live 15/30 games. This site has alot of roadkill stories about guys that beat those games that are now busto or beyond in credit counselling/GA meetings.

Two or three years ago, if someone predicted that in late 2006 you would have to outplay your opponent(s) after the flop to be a winner in a $1/2 online game, he would have been laughed out of the forum. |

Re: The end is nigh
You just have to adapt..Ive been a poker pro since the late 80's, and nothing has ever remained the same..Not at cardrooms or online...Knowing how to play all the poker games and structures becomes critical during the slow times...Right now..the Omaha high pot limit games are still relatively juicy..I'd be stuggling right now online, if all I played was the simple game of holdem.
