$60t - When in doubt, push \'em out?
PokerStars $55+5 Tournament, Big Blind is t200 with t25 antes (5 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com
UTG (t5145) CO (t2905) Button (t1650) Hero (t2060) BB (t1740) Preflop: Hero is in SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG raises to t600, CO folds, Button folds, Hero ? I've been second guessing myself a lot in these situations. I'm not sure what the right thing to do is anymore. I'm tempted to fold.. but pushing has to be +ev Anyone have any suggestions? |

Re: $60t - When in doubt, push \'em out?
UTG is the loosest guy on the table at the moment.
He's limped and raised from all positions a few times lately and folded an openlimp to a push a few orbits ago. I'm guessing his range is quite wide here, but I'm not sure if that is just wishful thinking! |

If your read is correct 99 holds up pretty good against a wide range. If you trust it get it in.

Re: $60t - When in doubt, push \'em out?
Objectively 99 is good against a LAG player. More information would definitely be pertinent to this hand. Has he done this move before, if so, what did he have? How big has his previous raises been from EP compared to the hands he has shown.

Re: $60t - When in doubt, push \'em out?
Why does "pushing have to be +EV?" A read would be nice, namely how'd he get all those chips? If UTG knows anything about position, I'm probably folding. TT+,AKo+ (maybe 99/AQ with a read) is my pretty default shove over range.
