quick line check vs ex tourney donk
full tilt 10/20. i normally dont play this high, but there is a huge fish in the game. this hand is probably standard.
villain is colson10. i dont know if he plays cash games regularly (since i dont play 10/20), but i know that he used to own donkaments. he is running 24/18/veryaggressive over about 50 hands. 2700 effective stacks. folds to colson in the sb. he raises to 70. i call with AJs. flop is J53r. he bets like 125. i call pretty quickly. turn is a 9 that puts out a flush draw, not mine. he bets like 275. i call. river 5, no flush. he bets 650 or something. i fold? |

Re: quick line check vs ex tourney donk
Your hand is too good not to call river or even raise somewhere postflop (or pre....)

Re: quick line check vs ex tourney donk
I'd probably raise preflop, if not I'd probably raise the flop, if not I might raise the turn but calling might be better, and river I call and get pissed when he shows J9.

Re: quick line check vs ex tourney donk
w/ the extra $700 raising anywhere post flop makes it too awkward imo.

Re: quick line check vs ex tourney donk
How about 3-betting preflop? I think calling down is expert.

Re: quick line check vs ex tourney donk
I like how you played it but I would definitely call the river. You have TPTK (aka the nuts) in a blind battle!!!
