I will say this, recently M Cuban was out bashing anybody who would take a piece of youtube. He said that it would be "nutz" to get involved with them citing all the copyright liabilities.

It appears they're overcoming a lot of these ( liabilities that is).

oT,

Alas, I had zero shares/options in YouTube and no money in Sequoia (their VC investor).

I'd have to agree with Cuban re: liability issues. I watch copyrighted videos on YouTube all the time and I'd be willing to bet a lot of money that the creators of those videos aren't getting paid.

Awesome that Cuban would say this. He must wake up every day and thank god that no one said anything sane to Yahoo! brfore he sold them broadcast.com.

Cuban said "anyone who buys that (YouTube) is a moron" because of potential lawsuits from copyright violations.

"There is a reason they haven't yet gone public, they haven't sold. It's because they are going to be toasted," said Cuban, who has sold start-ups to Yahoo and CompuServe.
