Default PokerDome Oct 8 - \"Boston\" Rob Mariano (Survivor)

I was at the FSN PokerDome taping on Saturday.

Former Survivor contestant "Boston" Rob Mariano was one of the six contestants.

You do want to tune to on Sunday October 8 at 11pm-1am local time on your FSN affiliate (check local listings for exact time in your area) to watch this one.

There were some absolutely sick hands that went down.

The last hand is also interesting, as the runner-up showed why he is NOT ready to turn pro anytime soon.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this one.

OK, I watched and it was truly a waste of 2 hours of my time. Mariano is absolutely not ready to turn pro and if he thinks he is then he's not living in "reality".

Korn wasted his early lead. Mueller was the best player there but still didn't push enough and got caught by a sick call.

And this differs from every other PokerDome episode how...?

For all the talk about "ENTERTAINMENT" from our resident self-absorbed insider journalist, the fact that he's repeatedly hyped this series makes me inclined to believe he doesn't actually know what makes good poker TV.

So I Tivo almost every poker show that my little basic-cable Comcast provides.

I definately dislike Pokerdome, but assuming I ignore all of the stupid comments by Michael Konik, Barry Tompkins or Chris Rose, I do enjoy watching Amateurs at work. These are the same people I run into in our local B&M casinos.

Anyone else feel they have learned SOMETHING from watching PokerDome Challenge?

Barely, but I was able to get a lot of reading done too.
