Villian is a UK pro, I know him through a mutual friend. He is very tight-aggressive, and a pretty good thinking player. He's never afriad to make a move, especially with these deep of stacks. I am taking a shot due to losing hardcore the day prior while seeing two big fish with big stacks on this table. We have been staying out of each others way, but I know that he is planning on making a move on me eventually. He knows that I normally play 2/4-3/6, and he knows of my big loss the day prior, so I am figuring that he will try something funny eventually. He knows that my standard image is very lag, but I have been tightening up at this table. FWIW I also instantly lost 1400 when sitting by playing what looked like very weak/passive. Anyways, onto the hand:
Villain has ~$2500, Hero covers. 5/10 No Limit 4 players Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is Button with 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises to $40, SB folds, BB calls $30. Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($85, 2 players) BB checks, Hero bets $80, BB calls. Turn: 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($245, 2 players) BB checks, Hero bets $210, BB raises to $420, Hero? Initially I wanted to raise, but his minbet is very strange. If he was making a move on me with Ad, I would have thought that he would have raised much larger, just because of me being scared money (in his eyes). Knowing villains thought process here, what does Hero do? Villain has a little under 2k left. 1) Hero raises to ? and calls push 2) Hero raises to ? and folds push 3) Hero calls and prays/reevaluates 4) Hero folds. |

It's pretty important you get the suits important here.
Was turn a third diamond or did you have the 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in your hand? |

Just call and see how big he bets on the river. If he does have the lone A of diamonds then raising again on the turn isn't really any better than calling because by calling you get a chance to take his stack if a board pairing diamond comes down (especially since you have position).
In any case if a blank hits the river you can call a marginally large bet. Usually you'll see villain bet or c/r the flop if he's aggressive and has a flush draw. |

I really don't see a push getting called by a flush.
