Standard or Awful?
Villain is 15/10 nitty TAG. I am more aggressive, but I doubt I have much of a specific image to villain other than just a typical mediocre multitabling TAG. I thought this was kind of standard, but some people have told me they thought it was awful. Thoughts?

Re: Standard or Awful?
I think that's pretty bad man... there isn't a single draw on the board unless he thinks ur raising 34, that being said he's prob waiting on the turn to raise a set.... I don't like it @ all

Re: Standard or Awful?
I probably call and check raise the river all in? Is that terrible?

Re: Standard or Awful?
This is more like TT-QQ than a set or the straight. I would call the raise and try to get it allin on the turn. (This guy prolly folds TT and JJ if you push on the flop.)

Re: Standard or Awful?
So you guys think it is common for an 8 tabling 15/10 to coldcall a PFR on the button with TT-AA?
I would have thought this was very rare, outside of occasionally doing it for balance purposes. I thought 55, 66, 99, 87s, and 65s were much, much more likely parts of his range for coldcalling preflop, and in my experience multitable nitty TAGs tend to just fastplay everything too. Comments? Any 15/10 nits wanna chime in with what your range is here? |

Re: Standard or Awful?
imo there are 2 option, either call the flop and lead the turn, or re-re-raise the flop,

Re: Standard or Awful?
If you're folding op's for 1 raise on any ragged flop it becomes easy to exploit you.

Re: Standard or Awful?
who was it?
also, you can't checkraise the river without playing the turn, to the person who had that in their plan. let's think about what the normal range of cold calling for a person that tight is. give him all pocket pairs and... maybe AQ or something retarded like that? pretend he never mixes it up. say he reraises with JJ+ most likely, you're losing to 99, 55 and 66 clearly. 22, 33, 44 aren't raising unless he's tricky, and you didn't say he was tricky. nor is 77 or 88. so you're going to get no further action most likely from TT-JJ, maybe QQ if he's a real nit and you call here. so hands you're beating are stopping giving you money and hands you are losing to are doubling... not seeming great. i kinda like a fold against someone this tight and predictable. many really tight guys just call here on teh flop with the small overpairs and see if you fire again, too. |
