Default 25 NL Full AKo against an unknown, my line best?

Had about 15 hands at the table when this hand happened. Villain seems slightly TAG. No other real reads.

My question is mainly about the flop play. Is a lead better?

Once he calls that c/r on the flop, you are beat or splitting, I c/f the turn as played. I think a better line would be c/c flop, b/f turn.

Shaddux,

Because only better hands may call(and may even 3-bet?) and most worse hands fold?

You played this too aggressively. Let's say we give CO a wide range: TT+/AQ. (Usually, it's probably much tighter, like QQ+/AK, but that doesn't matter here.) Then TT-QQ/AQ is not paying off because of the king. That leaves AK, KK, AA, the latter two having you crushed. So what's the point in betting if only these last three hands play back? Just c/c all the way down.

You are splitting most of the time here. You played it well and may once in a while get a puss to fold AK.

someone said they were concerned that villain smoothcalled the raise pf. The villain reraised PF. if he's tag, that's more likely QQ-AA and sometimes AK. (I don't think most tags at 25nl are reraising AK all that much)

I agree that the check reraise on the flop is just bizarre.

I'm not sure how to exercise potcontrol here. Call me nitty but due to the pf reraise, a TAG player is only calling your flop push if you're tied or beat.

Why is the chk/raise so wierd/bad?

Oops. My mistake. But the push results are still the same... you get called if you're tied or beaten you fold anything that beats you (99% of players)

Rathar then answer why its weird.. why do you think its the better play? Considering the pf action, do you think you're ahead? If so, aren't you just going to fold out anything you're beating and lose more to anything you're behind? If the guy is tight and reraised you, he's usually at worst going to have JJ or QQ here, and at best have you crushed. So you're better off check/calling especially if he's going to make small bets.
