Quitting Everything
I know nobody cares, but I'm posting this because I think it will help me get started and in the end accomplish my goal.
I'm looking for some tips/advice/gameplan for quitting a number of my vices. I'm looking to quit the following -weed -caffeine -cigs I use all three of these everyday. I think quitting all at the same time is too dificult, so I'm doing one at a time. So far my plan is to go cold turkey, then use the remaining vice(s) as a crutch to get me through the rough times. I'm starting with the weed, because that will make the biggest change in my life. I have a bit of herb left, so I'll finish that today and officially start tomorrow. This will suck.... |

Re: Quitting Everything
Oh lord. Good luck to you sir.
I gave up cigs in Jan. I gave up weed a few weeks ago I will kill someone if I give up caffeine And recently (since giving up weed) and being under a TON of stress in my personal life have snuck a few cigs so as to not completely go insane. It's hard, but I wish you the best of luck. |

Re: Quitting Everything
try giving up weed or cigs first, caffiene is prolly the least harmful to ur system, so u'll prolly increase caffiene intake while trying to kick the other habits...good luck...

Re: Quitting Everything
i've recently started a diet, which is good because i've already lost like 12 pounds in a month. unfortunately since i'm a little girl and i used to eat to self-medicate, i now smoke a lot to make up for not eating all the time. GOOD TRADE BPS

Re: Quitting Everything
just curious. can you tell us why you are quitting each of the three. I guess its usually kind of obvious but sometimes people have very specific reasons.

[/ QUOTE ] I guess i'm quitting for the obvious reasons. I'd like to be healthier (or healthy in general) and gain back some energy and motivation. I used to run frequently before I started smoking cigs, and I'd like to start doing that again. Plus most chicks don't like guys who smoke, so that's a plus when I quit cigs. I'm choosing weed first because I think it will be the easiest (not saying it will be easy). Plus when i quit smoking herb, i'll probably be more motivated to quit the others. I love love love coffee, and I'm not looking forward to quitting that, but I know I drink way too much and I should stop. Now that I think about it I will quit coffee second, so that I can still enjoy the greatest combo ever: coffee and cigarettes....mmmmm...delicious. Thanks for the support everyone |

Thats true to a point, but if you want to start exercising more than just casually, you would be alot better off lowering your caffiene intake and get your energy and "high" from those endorphines pumping. |

Re: Quitting Everything
Weed is tough, when its around its almost impossible to turn down. If you go about four days without smoking weed though you will notice a significant increase in your ability to concentrate and find that you can get up in the morning without feeling so tired.
Good luck, its not easy. |
