Folds to looseish bad late MP who limps, I raise pot to 18 in CO with KsKcTsTc (standard?, Button min raises to 36, blinds fold, we call. Button sat down 10 hands ago and no real read (tightish, he hasnt shown down anything). Effective stacks 400.
Flop is AsKh5c. Checks to button who pots it (around 100), MP calls, I call. Anyone raise or fold here? Turn is a 6h, MP goes all in for a tad less than pot. |

I see the problem - you'd like to flat call to keep button in there since you have nut flush and 2nd set. But really you'd like to raise here to get more money from button if he has a set of aces. With two sets out there the board's unlikely to pair. But at the same time you're worried he might have less than a set of aces so you'd be forcing him out. You won't get anything out of him on the river unless the board pairs and you're beat.
I'd be inclined to flat call, with no reads. Maybe he's a donk who'll raise you with queen high flush. Maybe he has set of 5s, and was re-raising preflop with 5567ds. Who knows! |

Sorry, I wasn't as clear as I could have been about suits in my op. I don't have nut flush. I'll edit it.

I would go bust here. Enough times he has AK.

I think he almost never has AK here. It seems obvious to me he has AA here almost every time. I'm folding this flop.

I'd have called on the flop, but with that turn card I'd have to fold on the turn after he pushes. This is a play I've seen before where the flat call the flop and push the turn if it comes safe.

I can't see MP having AA much here. In practice I probably wouldn't give the button credit for AA either, I'd push the flop after the bet and the call. Also I often lead the flop.

Tightish player min-reraises preflop and goes for his tank with something other than AA there? lol

I dont usually post results this early, but I'm pretty convinced now I shoulda raised the flop, and most seem to agree. At the time I was in too much of a w/a w/b mode, not fully realizing how likely QJT was, and only half realizing how extremely rarely this concept applies to Omaha.
I called and button overcalled. River was an offsuit 2. MP had QJTx with 2 hearts, Button showed 5567, and I scooped a nice sized pot. |
